Muck shifting

Groundworks & earthworks

Muck shifting

Muck shifting is bulk earthmoving — getting material from A to B, reducing levels, cutting and filling, and loading out spoil. We turn up with our own excavators, dozers and dumpers and our own operators. Tell us the volumes and the ground; we’ll tell you what kit we need and how long it will take.

What we do

  • Reduce levels and strip topsoil or overburden.
  • Cut and fill, and spread material to level.
  • Stockpile on site or load out to wagons.
  • Move spoil around the job with articulated dumpers.
  • Push and spread with a D6 or D8 where the volumes justify it.

Ideal for

  • Farmers re-levelling yards, tracks or field corners
  • Site managers needing a bulk dig or fill without hiring in extra operators
  • Civils and groundworks jobs where the muck-shift is a defined package

Machines used

Typical kit for this work — we’ll confirm what’s needed once we’ve seen the job.

Discuss your project

Tell us the site, roughly how big the job is, and when you want to start. We’ll come back with how we’d do it and what it would cost.
